The trailer 'Fancy Dance' starring Lily Gladstone has been released.

The film, directed by Erica Tremblay, premiered at Sundance in 2023 and received positive reviews. The film has not been released since then. It was Tremblay's directorial debut, as Erica Tremblay and Miciana Alise co-wrote the script. It will be released on Apple TV on June 28.

While Lily Gladstone and Deroy-Olson share the leading roles in the film, other names include Ryan Begay, Crystle Lightning, Audrey Wasilewski and Shea Whigham.

A brief summary of the film's plot is as follows:

Jax (Gladstone), who lives in a rural area and cares for his niece after his sister's disappearance, faces losing custody of his niece to his grandfather. On the one hand, Jax, searching for his sister, tells the story of a colonized country at the mercy of a failed justice system. It becomes a much deeper exploration of the complexities and contradictions of Indigenous women moving forward in the world.
